  • A: The Executive MBA in Health Administration focuses exclusively on the health care industry. Some MBA programs only offer electives on health care topics. Our program fully immerses the student in the business of health care. You'll receive the same rigorous analytical and financial skills offered in a traditional MBA program, but you will also receive the knowledge and skills needed to understand the economic, financial, organizational, and political structure that is unique to the health care industry.

The Executive MBA Program in Health Administration provides practicing healthcare professionals with a Master of Business Administration degree with an option in health administration in 25 months. The program consists of intensive on-campus sessions held for one week every July and January on the Denver campus of the University of Colorado and computer-based instruction during the off-campus sessions.

The executive program provides high-quality instruction utilizing faculty from 17 accredited health administration programs that are part of the Network for Healthcare Management. Students may alsoearn an in pharmaceutical management.

This program is designed for healthcare professionals who need the business skills and knowledge to manage complex healthcare organizations.

Program Requirements

A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years management or clincial experience in heatlthcare are required.

What about after I graduate?

After graduation students will be positioned for senior level management positions in healthcare organizations.

How does it work?

Students take four courses each semester. Courses begin on campus during the one-week intensive session and are finishced online. The program is lock-step and takes two years to complete.
