Welcome!

As they say, ‘hard writing makes easy reading’. So whether you’re working on your doctoral thesis, the great American novel (or viral video), or a simple email to the boss, your success (and often times your future) is based on how well you can communicate your thoughts.

However, much like finding a laconic Faulkner piece, that’s usually easier said than done. And much like starting sentences with conjunctions and using clichés like ‘easier said than done’, the rules abound for well written, articulated prose.

This UCD Bachelor of Arts in English Writing program prepares you for a lifetime of witty banter and concise chronicles with courses that cover core composition, grammar, style, fiction, technical writing and everything in between.
