EdD Program

The three year EdD program is designed so that you may receive a Doctorate of Education degree after 69 credit hours. This includes comprehensive exams, internships and a capstone dissertation.

The EdD program lets you select a concentration area from two options:

1.) The Instructional Leadership concentration is targeted to professionals who hold or seek to move into positions such as:

Teacher leaders
Coaches/mentors
Program coordinators
Curriculum directors
Instructors at teaching universities/colleges or community colleges

2.) The Executive Leadership concentration area supports individuals who hold or seek to move into:

Senior management positions inside school districts
Community colleges
Higher education policy organizations or community based education organizations

Both options are designed to help you become a catalyst in urban and diverse schools and communities.
