Why Choose UCD?

There’s something comforting about it. That the institution offering your course is rooted in tradition and academia. That your professors have their background in education as well as real world practicality. And if you have questions, you can come down to visit whenever you want.

UCD combines the expertise of its academic programs at the Downtown campus with its extensive medical research and teaching at the Anschutz campus. The result is Colorado’s premier research university.

UCD History

UCD was originally founded in 1912 as the University of Colorado's downtown campus to meet the needs of the city's rapidly expanding population. In 1974 the "University of Colorado at Denver" was formed. In July 2004, the University of Colorado at Denver and the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center consolidated to become one single research university.
