This is an exciting time for instructional design and technology professionals (and those that want to be). There is a growing demand for professionals with eLearning expertise and few people with the knowledge and skills and to meet the demand.

The University of Colorado Denver's Information and Learning Technology program offers two options for acquiring eLearning expertise and broadening your background:

1.) The M.A. in eLearning Design and Implementation (eDI - 36 credit hours)
Unlike any program in Denver, this eDI program is specifically designed to meet your needs as you face the increasingly important role electronic and online technologies play within post-secondary, K-12, and corporate education.

2.) The Designing eLearning Environments certificate (DeE - 18 credit hours)
The DeE certificate program focuses specifically on the skills needed to design and facilitate online learning opportunities for learners in K-12, higher education and corporate settings.

Why This eLearning Design and Implementation Program?

This unique accredited online program emphasis interactive learning, hands-on projects and collaborative team work that coalesces into specialized and highly marketable skills.

The design of this program is based on extensive research and examination of existing graduate programs that emphasize eLearning design and development, creating a truly original program. In this program, you will:

  • Create web-based instructional products that incorporate multi-media and hypermedia techniques and applications.
  • Develop knowledge and skills needed to be an eLearning leader – by engaging in a deep investigation of the theory and research that influences eLearning innovations.
  • Engage in projects, analyses, and design activities, which will result in an online portfolio that exemplifies best practices in instructional design.

Program Summary

The eLearning Design and Implementation curriculum is structured so the courses run concurrently, complementing each other, and building on what you’ve learned for the next semester. The entire program takes about two years to complete.

The course designs also involve you in a number of collaborative work experiences that reflect the nature of eLearning professional practice.
