This online CU Denver Adolescent Literacy Certificate is designed to help you reach your students (of varying learning styles and backgrounds), while providing you with valuable credentials that can be applied towards a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as the Colorado Reading Teacher Endorsement.

This fully online certificate is a series of three graduate level courses specifically geared to the development of middle and high school readers and writers – especially those who are struggling.

Admission Requirements

You are required to have a Bachelor’s degree to apply to the Adolescent Literacy Certificate program; however, a K-12 teaching license is not required.

If you are not currently an active CU Denver student, you'll need to complete the Continuing and Professional Education pre-registration application. Once you complete the application, you’ll receive an email with your student ID and direction on how to register.

If you are currently an active student at CU Denver and have taken courses within the past year, all you need to do is register.
